Publications

The Integrated Aeronautical Information Package provided by the AIS of North Macedonia will contain the aeronautical information necessary for safe flight within the Skopje FIR, and will be provided in accordance with the provisions of Annex 15 to the Convention as:

  • AIP, Including amendmentservice
  • Supplements to the AIP
  • Aeronautical Information Circular(AIC)
  • Checklist and summaries

Preflight Information Bulletins

Pre-flight Information Bulletins (PIB), which contain a recapitulation of current NOTAM and other information of urgent character for the operator/flight crews, are available at the aerodrome AIS/ARO units.

Depending of the requirements of the users, manually prepared printed plain language PIBs are available in the form of:

  • area type bulletins
  • route type bulletins
  • aerodrome type bulletins
  • administrative bulletins

wich are in compliance with ICAO standard bulletin formats

Cartography

Preparation and maintenance of the ICAO chart series for the Republic of North Macedonia will be achieved by means of digital mapping platform. This is co-sited with the AIP editing suite at operations building at Skopje airport. Enquiries should be made during weekday office hours only. Purchasing requirements should be addressed to the AIP Editor. Current purchasing arrangements and costs will be notified by AIC.
Responsible service for preparation and maintenance is Aeronautical Information Service of the Republic of North Macedonia.
En-Route Charts provides flight crews with information, to facilitate navigation along ATS routes, in compliance with the procedures detailed in ENR section..

NOTAM

Preparation and distribution of a notice distributed by means of telecommunication containing information concerning the establishment, condition or change in any aeronautical facility, service, procedure or hazard, the timely knowledge of which is essential to personnel concerned with flight operations.
NOTAM are originated and issued for SKOPJE FIR and are distributed in two series identified by the letters A and S.
Series A. Information relating AIP of NORTH MACEDONIA (IFR), with international and national distribution.
Series S (SNOWTAM). Information concerning snow, slush, ice or standing water associated with snow and slush and ice in the movement areas. SNOWTAM are prepared in accordance with ICAO Annex 15, Appendix 2, and are issued by the individual aerodrome directly, with separate serial numbers.

Instrument flight procedure design

M-NAV has been certified by the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) of Republic of North  Macedonia to design, validate and maintain instrument flight procedures. Flight procedures are designed in accordance with the Procedures for Air Navigation Services (PANS-OPS) to ensure obstacle clearance and maintain separation distances. It also assumes normal operations. It is the responsibility of the operator to provide contingency procedures for abnormal and emergency operations. M-NAV possesses extensive experience in the development of:

  • Visual approaches
  • Non-precision approaches
  • Precision approaches

These fields of expertise can be utilized in flight procedure optimization projects focusing on:

  • Capacity optimization
  • Safety and obstacle clearance situation enhancement
