М-NAV signed a contract for training of new class of air traffic controllers after more than 10 years!

After the compleation of the selection process, and the public procurement procedure, M-NAV signed a contract for training of the first group of 5 air traffic controllers candidates for Area Control, ACS rating.

The training of these candidates will take place in Copenhagen Denmark, at the Global ATS – Denmark Aviation Training Centre.

Global ATS – Denmark was founded as a subsidiary of Global ATS Ltd UK. which was established in 2011, built on the legacy of Bailbrook Aviation College established in 1978. The Global ATS – Denmark is certified according to EU Reg.2015/340 by the Danish CAA.

The training of these M-NAV candidates will start on February the 19th 2019, and according to the contract are expected to finish by mid July. We wish a lot of success to our candidates!

On January 16, Mr. Nikolche Taseski, President of Management Board of M-NAV and Executive Director of ANS and Mr. Migjen Sallmani, Member of Management Board of M-NAV and Executive Director of Division of Financial and Legal Affairs, Development and Investments held a working meeting with the newly appointed Director of Civil Aviation Agency, PhD Tomislav Tuntev.
At the meeting, both sides expressed full eagerness to strengthen the mutual cooperation between the Regulator and the Provider of Air Navigation Services, in view of increasing the air traffic safety over Macedonian sky and promoting the national air transport.

Also, the CAA leader, PhD Tomislav Tuntev has informed his interlocutors from M-NAV about the procedure of adopting Amendments and Supplements to the Aviation Act, which will ensure harmonization of the national aviation legislation with the latest international standards and recommended practises of ICAO.
Showing serious approach of both the Regulator and the Provider of Air Navigation Services in strengthening the mutual cooperation in all segments is of particular significance, having an aim of efficient handling (coping) with the anticipated increase of air traffic in the forthcoming period and timely compliance with all obligations imposed by the international organizations and institutions in the field of air traffic an transport.

Both parties have confirmed that they will strive for promoting the cooperation between M-NAV and CAA, and also they have confirmed their commitment to intensify the cooperation in all areas of mutual interest in order to provide safe, efficient and regular air navigation services. With an aim of keeping pace with the integrative operational processes of the Single European Sky Initiative, it was emphasised that mutual and coordinated activities of both organizations and their active participation in the current initiatives, projects and development programs of international aviation organizations is necessary.

M–NAV signed a Contract for procurement of a new ATM system

On December the 14th, M-NAV signed a contract with the Italian manufacturer “LEONARDO” for procurement and installation of the new Air Traffic Management System in M-NAV.  The contract includes a new technical – operational room suitable to accommodate the System.
The procurement process was conducted in accordance with EBRD Rules and Polices, hereby the entire process was monitored and approved by EBRD.

After signing the Contract, this extensive and demanding tendering procedure was successfully concluded. The most important “core” system for the provision of safe air navigation services is the ATM system.

With the new ATM system M-NAV will be able to provide services that meet the highest levels of safety standards and provide compliance with the latest technological standards. The new ATM system will enhance the capacities and increase the efficiency of the entire system at the same time. All these strengths the M-NAV’s capability to cope with the expected increase of the traffic demand in the future.

On the 12th of November 2018 the President of M-NAV`s Management Board and Executive Director of ANS Mr. Nikolche Taseski, the Executive Director for financial, legal issues, development and investments department, Mr. Migjen Salmani and Mr. Kliment Chepunjoski the Executive Director of the Technical Department welcomed in its premises in Skopje the Management members of Kosovo ANSA leaded by Mr. Bahri Nuredini, the General Director.
During this meeting the two neighboring ANSP`s discussed about regional development and cooperation in the area of air navigation services, the PBN implementation, cooperation in the Safety area and radar data sharing possibilities. M-NAV offered it`s full support and expertise to ANSA in all areas of discussion during this meeting, all aiming towards the improvement of provision of air navigation services.

M-NAV GOJSC attends EC3/65 meeting in Brussels

After M-NAV GOJSC had joined CANSO in June, 2018, ANS Executive Director and President of Management Board, Mr. Nikolche Taseski and ANS Deputy Director, Ms. Irena Кalichanin took part at EC3 no. 65 meeting held in CANSO Europe Office in Brussels, on October 29, 2018. During the meeting attended by CEOs from significant number of Air Navigation Services Providers, Mr. Taseski delivered a greeting speech presenting the Company and outlining that besides the fact that M-NAV GOJSC is a small ANSP it notices one of the greatest upward trends regarding the increase of air traffic volume in Europe, i.e. it was noticed an increase of air traffic growth of more than 17% in overflying traffic and 7% in approach traffic in the previous year, while this year the growth by now has been around 12% both in overflights and approach traffic.
Further, he expressed his expectations regarding the benefits that M-NAV GOJSC would acquire by its membership in CANSO Europe.

“My country is striving to become a EU member state somewhere in the near future, but nevertheless, we are a signatory part of the ECAA agreement, particularly we expect from CANSO Europe to act as the voice of the ATM industry in Europe and represent the interests of air navigation services providers in front of the European institutions and steer the development and implementation of European legislation. Additionally we expect them to coordinate and promote the implementation of ANSP best practice in the region”, said Mr. Taseski.

The meeting saw a presentation of internal matters such as CANSO EUR Strategic Objectives and Priorities, airspace capacity, 2019 proposed budget and future scenarios were discussed, also the outcome of the CANSO-Eurocontrol/NM high level meeting was presented. Particularly, it was considered CANSO EUR contributions to the vision of the European Airspace, such as Architecture Airspace Study, SES Wise Person Group. The meeting ended with consideration of CANSO global activities.
