ATCOs Training on APS rating in BULATSA

M-NAV GOJSC continues with the commitment to have competent and qualified aeronautical personnel. Five ATCOs from M-MAV with TWR rating will undergo training to acquire APS rating, the training will be delivered in BULATSA training centre that is one of the most reputable European Training Provider allowing the trainees to acquire the required competence in compliance with ICAO and Eurocontrol standards and recommendations.
In order to build up and enhance the relation in this field, on 17th of October in BULATSA, a Contract on public procurement of service for APS rating training for was signed by both sides, by Mr. Nikolche Taseski President of Management Board of M-NAV and ANS Executive Director and by Mr. Georgi Peev – BULATSA General Director.

Employees of M-NAV participated in SKOPJE RUN 10km

After it was held successfully in the year of 2017, on 7th of October, 2018, SKOPJE RUN 10K was held for the second time. Employees of M-NAV GOJSC participated as a team actively in this race, 5 participants ran 10 – km distance: Nikolche Taseski, Igor Andreevski, Jasminka Karkinski, Vladimir Trpkovski and Gordana Tegovska while 2 participants ran 2×5 km relay race: Riste Stefanov and Zharko Apostoloski. Everyone who finished the race got a medal.
The organizer of the race is Skopje Sports Association (which is organizer of Wizz Air Skopje Marathon and Avicena Women`s Race too) in cooperation with AK Rabotnichki and the Athlete Federation of Macedonia and with the help of Ministry of Interior of Republic of Macedonia. The Agency for Youth and Sports is a main sponsor of SKOPJE RUN 10K, аs well as the City of Skopje is a sponsor, also other partners and sponsors provided huge assistance. This race has been registered in the Athletic Federation of Macedonia (AFM) and in the European Athletics Association (EAA) and it is envisaged that this race will join the International Federation of Marathons and Road Running (IAMSR) from next year.
This race opens a unique chapter that included dozens of famous persons. Together with SOS Children’s Village they are fast moving towards increasing the level of philanthropy and healthy lifestyle in Macedonia.

On the 10th of October, 2018 the Macedonian delegation, represented by Mr.Nikolche Taseski, the President of the Management Board and the Executive Director of ANS, Ms.Irena Kalichanin, Deputy Director of ANS, Mr. Vladko Krstevski, Deputy Director of CNS, Mrs. Katarina Markovska, Supervisor in the OPS room and Mrs. Jasminka Gocevska, ATM Expert, paid official visit to the Malta Air Navigation Services (MATS) situated on the Malta International Airport. M-NAV delegation was greeted by Mr. Kenneth Chirkop, the MATS CEO and Mr. Anthony Haidon, the Head of the training centre in MATS. The meeting was dedicated to different issues related to the ATC operations with special interest for MATS newly installed ATM system, featuring the latest technological and operational system essentials. The delegation had the opportunity to share experiences, especially in regard to the procuring and installment of new ATM systems, taking into consideration the time frames for each phase of the process. Furthermore, the knowledge and the understanding of the full process of installment of new ATM system gave M-NAV delegation a closer view and insightful awareness of the upcoming challenges.
The visit continued in MATS operational premises, both the ops room and the technical room, where, the full operational potential of the system and the personnel was presented. Each member of the delegation had the chance to raise different issues, ask questions and get closer view of the system itself.
At the end of the visit, all M-NAV representatives had the opportunity to work and explore the functions and the potential of MATS new ATM system in the simulator room. The delegation appreciates the unselfish possibility to take close look and utilize the new ATM system, acquiring unique and much appreciated experience.

From 9th until 12th of September, in Salento Italy, open – air Controllers’ Music Festival happened for the first time in history. The prerequisite for participation for each band was at least one of the band members to have an active ATC license. The band from Macedonia, Control Freaks, had the honour to open this Festival, and the vocalist was our employee Natasha Mijat Krstevska, also known as Miyatta. Thirteen bands from different controllers’ centers from all over the world shared the festival’s stage: Karlsrhue – Germany, Prague – Chech Republic, Teheran – Iran, Gran Canaria, Rome, Brindisi and Milano from Italy and others.

“I sincerely hope that this festival will become tradition because the feeling to have so many people that are kindred souls not only as controllers but as well as musicians is indescribable. A grand applause for our colleagues from Brindisi who are the organisors of this event” – says Natasha Mijat Krstevska after her return from the Controllers’ Music Festival.

Record-breaking number of flights over Macedonian Sky- Updated

Record-breaking number of flights over Macedonian Sky- Updated

UPDATE – On August the 11th for a third time this year the number of flights over Macedonian Airspace was surpassed with 1028 flights in total!

With this the record from the previous Saturday (August the 4th) was surpassed by 21 flights. From the total of 1028 flights, 963 were overflights and 65 were from the airports of Skopje and Ohrid.

On August the 4th this year a new record of 1007 flights over Macedonian Airspace was recorded!

In the first half of 2018, the trend of continuous traffic increase that started in 2017 when an air traffic growth of over 20% was recorded continued.
During the first six months of 2018, M-NAV handled a total of 82 619 operations compared to 2017 when we handled 73.074 operations, that amounts to 13,6% traffic growth.

In Approach we recorded a growth of 15.9%, 8868 Approach operations in 2018, compared to 7651 Approach operations in 2017.

The peak month is the month of May in which the total number of operations was 19594 in 2018 compared to the same month in 2017 when it was 16768, which represents a growth of 16,9%.

The trend of continuous air traffic growth continues during the summer months too. Saturday remains to be the busiest day in the week, followed by Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
