The air traffic controllers of Macedonia and Albania are working to strengthen cooperation in order to increase air traffic safety. A special focus is placed on elevating the exchange of radar data to a higher level, as part of regional efforts to optimize the operational functionality of the data. At the meeting between the CNS Executives of M-NAV and Albcontrol, Kliment Chepunjoski and Sokol Mukaj, it was agreed to extend the agreement for the exchange of services between the two countries.
“It is in the interest of both air navigation service providers to overcome the challenges in the exchange of radar data, by upgrading to new technologies. This will increase the speed and security of bilateral data exchange, and thus the quality of our services,” said Chepunjoski.
