On February 22, 2023 in Ohrid, Mr. Fahrudin Hamidi, Chairman of the Management Board and Executive Director in ANS attended the signing ceremony of the multilateral Aeronautical SAR Agreement between the member countries of the Regional Advisory Committee of Aeronautical SAR (RASARAC).

Four member countries of RASARAC including the Republic of North Macedonia, The Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Montenegro and the Republic of Slovenia have signed this Agreement.

This year The Regional Advisory Committee leadership for Aeronautical SAR (RASARAC) from Republic of Montenegro passes to the Republic of North Macedonia, meanwhile, the Republic of Albania as an observer country has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation in aviation with the hope of becoming a member of this Committee in the near future.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Blagoj Bochvarski emphasized that regional cooperation is extremely important for setting high professional standards in civil aviation.

The Republic of North Macedonia has been a member of the Regional Advisory Committee Aeronautical SAR (RASARAC) since 2016. The committee consists of representatives of the member states as Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Slovakia and Republic of Slovenia.
